Sardines with Vermicelli (Misua) is a Pinoy dish that is easy, quick to prepare, very economical as well as delicious. It is a soup dish and best serve when still hot.
Ingredients:
- 1 can (155g) of tomato based sardines
- 1 (110g) vermicelli (misua) noodles
- 1 serving of leafy vegetable
- 2 cloves garlic, sliced or crushed
- 1 small onion, thin sliced
- 1 tbsp of cooking oil
- salt and pepper to season
- 2-3 cups water
Instructions:
- Using a wok or a pot, heat and add the cooking oil.
- When it is ready, add the onion and garlic, saute for few minutes until aromatic.
- Add the sardines with sauce, stir gently and cook for few minutes.
- Add water and bring into boil. Some vermicelli (misua) do need more water so better to start with 2 cups of water and add more when needed.
- Once it starts to boil, add the vermicelli (misua). Stir and cook for about 2 minutes.
- Add the vegetable and stir gently. Cook for a minute or until the vegetable is fully cooked.
- Add some pepper and taste test if more salt is needed.
Transfer the dish to a serving bowl and serve hot. Enjoy!
